| Today is Diwali in INDIA | | I convey my 'DIWALI GREETNGS' to ALL!! Fireworks worth crores of rupees will be burnt, just for the sake of joy and fun. Thousands of persons will be admitted in the hospitals due to minor to 3rd degree burns. Sweetmeat sellers, JEWELLERS, CLOTH MERCHANTS, will do a grand business. Fireworks may lead to wastage of money, but they do some good too. The fumes kill insects, small flying insects are attracted to the oil lamps and get killed. The pure ghee lamps, the insence sticks, the vapour from pure ghee and other 'havan' materials in 'homa' (offering to fire) will purify the air. Tell me about more SUCH BENEFITS. | | | Do you believe that all holidays should be changed to just hoildays | | So we have thanksgiving,christams,valentines,easter and a host of others should we just call them Holidays? give them no names so other people of different faiths won't be offened?
See some people belive that this is what they want,like that guy in washington who doesn't have custody of his daughter but is going to court to get in god we trust off money,and to remove the stone from in front of the capital.

| | Yard sales!! | | It's rolling around to be that time of year again. This year, I cannot wait to sell some of the JUNK I've accumulated. Anybody else an avid yard seller during the summer? My aunt's small town in KY has a town-wide yard sale the fourth of July weekend, and my fiancee and I got our first living room set for only $100 last summer. What's your best find/sell??? I remember I sold my whole barbie collection for like $35 when I was about 12. | |
